Using the latest Universal Printer Driver (v7.1.0) when printing dotted or dashed lines from our application it causes large black boxes to appear on the page. This issue only occurs when the line uses flat or square endcaps and does not occur when it uses a round endcaps.  Our application works fine with other printer drivers such as the PCL 5 driver or PDF drivers.  This is not a new issue we have had this same problem with older versions of this PCL6 driver for many years with no resolution.

I've spent time troubleshooting this and the problem appears to be in the call to ExtCreatePen(), the value we use currently is in logical units and it needs to be in printer units in order for it to work properly with this driver.  If I make it change to use printer units it fixes the issue for the UPD 7.1.0 but it breaks all other printer drivers.  Any thoughts on what may be going on here?  I'm willing to provide a test application for someone at HP to help troubleshoot this.

Thanks!
