Hi @zLegacies,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The error code UU_400_EB000U0701 typically indicates an issue related to regional settings or firmware restrictions when trying to set up an HP printer, especially if it has been obtained second-hand from a different region. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve this issue:

Troubleshooting Steps for Error Code UU_400_EB000U0701

  1. Check Regional Settings:
    • Ensure that the regional settings of the printer correspond to the country or region you are currently in.
    • Access the printer’s control panel menu to set the correct country or region if prompted.

  2. Factory Reset the Printer:
    • Perform a factory reset on the printer to clear previous settings. This option is generally available through the printer’s settings menu, but be aware that this will erase any existing settings.

  3. Update Firmware:
  4. Network Connection:
    • Verify that the printer is properly connected to your local network. A stable internet connection is essential for completing the setup process.
    • Try reconnecting to the network or resetting the network settings on the printer and then connecting again.

  5. HP Support:
    • Since the printer was obtained second-hand, there might be region locks placed by the original owner. If none of the steps above resolves the problem, contacting HP Support directly for assistance might be necessary. They can provide specific guidance or reset the regional settings on their end.

  6. HP Smart Account:
    • Use the HP Smart app to set up your printer and verify that it is registered to your HP Smart account. This can sometimes resolve setup issues by ensuring the printer is linked correctly with an active account.

By following these troubleshooting steps, you should be able to resolve the setup issue with your HP OfficeJet 9025e and start printing successfully.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
