Hello, I have a wireless smart tank printer that allows for two-sided printing but for some reason my MacBook Pro doesn't recognise the that the printer allows for 2-sided printing.  It isn't giving me the option.  Has anyone else run into this issue?

What is your exact printer model?

 

I don’t think there is any HP Smart Tank model supporting Automatic Two-Sided printing, therefore I believe this is the reason.

The model is HP Smart Tank Wireless 457

 

I have used the 2-sided feature on windows.  It just prints one side then you insert the pages again and it prints the other side.

Thanks for clarifying, a Manual Print Duplex printing feature is offered on Windows only, not on Mac OS.

 

You may use the Pages to Print setting to perform manual print duplex in Mac OS, follow step 4 and further on below support document to manually print on both sides from a Mac:
