Each time I try to setup and activate my wireless printer on my HP Pavilion g6 1201ev notebook the activation process shows a popup redirecting to the registration page instead of the HP Connected Web Service activation settings. And it gets worse: I'm unable to complete the install process because the setup wizard prompts me to not close the popup otherwise the printer installation will fail.
It's normal? I used the full webpack feature to install the printer on RS2 Creators Update.
I never encountered this issue with RS1 anniversary edition.
Should I use the basic driver to setup and install the printer correctly?

Hi,
I followed the methods you've had mentioned above with no luck; it appears the driver supplied from Microsoft Update might be the culprit. Would prefer not using ethernet and wireless internet connections as metered to avoid further issues.
I'll deploy the basic driver to see if the problem no longer occurs and - if possible - install the rest of the remaining apps with the full featured webpack.
Thanks for the useful advice!

Hi there,
I've tried installing the basic drivers but the printer activation problem still persists.
From what I recall I used to install older drivers for my device that activate wireless printers automatically without the need to go online.
With the current build the activation mechanism has been changed for the worst.
I'm looking for a previous Win10 driver for the Advantage 3830 series without the "going online" function.
Have a nice week.
