Unable to setup HP Envy 4520

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

 

I trying to setup my printer (wirelessly). i have installed HP Smart and downloaded the printer driver from the HP website.

Now my laptop does recognized the printer and it shows that its online, but when i click on the printer to complete the install,

i receive the notification below  that my printer is turned off, but its not its. not off, its powered up, i cant not get past this step.

 

Please assist if ya can..thanks

@Iceman64, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

Follow the steps below to isolate and resolve the issue-

 

Uninstall the app from your Windows 10 device through the All Apps list.

  1. In Windows, search for and open Apps & features.

    Searching for Apps & features

  2. Click HP Smart in the list of apps, and then click Uninstall.

    Uninstalling HP Smart app

Now, on your Windows 10 device, go to HP Smart (in English) to get the app from the Windows Store, and then follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the app.

 

Try printing.

 

If you still have an issue, use the HP Easy Start Printer Setup Software to configure the printer.

Thanks for reaching out to me about my printer issue, but the issue is not resolved.

I am still being notified that my printer is not on, when it is. Any other suggestions

To be able to assist you better, I'd like to know the following-

  • Is your router dual-band enabled i.e., both 2.4GHz and 5GHz?
  • Is there any antivirus software installed on your computer?
  • Have you tried using the HP Easy Start Printer Setup software as mentioned earlier?
