We recently bought some new ink for our printer. After installing it the printer was not letting me select the print option so I performed a full reset by unplugging it from the power.

 

After the reset the printer is now asking for the setup cartridges in order to proceed. We don't have those anymore as the printer was initially set up years ago. Is there a way to get around this message?

@JD163, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I'm afraid there is no option to perform an OOB reset on this model printer to bypass the use of setup ink cartridges.

 

As the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
