I have finally come across the release that in May a windows update has resulted in HP printer drivers to not be supported and printing is now disabled. HP is rolling out updated drivers and I have verified my model is now supported. After installing the basic driver manually as suggested (because the full feature driver is not shown or I cant identify it) the printer remains with the same issue.
I need help! This is the summary of what I got going on:
All other functions work, fax, copy, and scan.
re-installed basic driver from HP support website today
Printer is wired into the network
Computer is up to date with ALL updates
ScanDoctor did not resolve the issue
driver cannot be updated from PC settings. Update driver option is greyed out
running windows 10 64bit
Uninstalling and reinstalling did not work
installed full software, this did not resolve the issue
