@Cheryl149, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Security Warning for HP ENVY 6055!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The security warning you are encountering indicates that the printer has detected a potential security issue. This could be due to several reasons, such as:
- The printer's identification has changed.
- There may be a connection issue or an untrustworthy connection.
- The printer might appear different from the previously connected printer with the same name.
To ensure the security and functionality of your printer, follow these steps:
Verify the Printer: Confirm that the printer listed in the warning message is indeed your HP ENVY 6055 and not another device posing as your printer.
Check Connection: Ensure that the printer is connected to the trusted network you are using, and there are no unauthorized devices attempting to connect.
Continue or Troubleshoot: If you recognize the printer as your own and trust the connection, you can tap "Continue" to proceed. If you are unsure or suspect potential security issues, you may want to:
- Check your network settings.
- Restart the printer and your router.
- Reinstall the printer driver.
- Ensure firmware and software are up-to-date.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
