We have updated the firmware on 4 devices, and it has locked the devices out so you can only make one copy at a time (removes the keyboard facility so you can’t change the number of copies, seems to be a faulty firmware from HP) and they don’t provide the previous versions to allow us to revert them back to a later firmware - Not good enough HP must try harder!!!! 

 

If anyone can advise where we can get the previous firmware would be appreciated, the one we have updated to is as follows:

 

  • FutureSmart Bundle Version 5.7.1.1 - HP Color LaserJet Managed MFP X57945/X58045 Series Printer FIRMWARE

Hi folks,

we faced the same issue. FW-Update and afterwards the keyboard-icon was missing.

Does someone have a solution for this issue? There is no updated Firmware available!

Found it!

Go to the webserver:
General - Control Panel Customization > Control Panel Language and Keyboard Layouts -> activate "Enable Virtual Keyboard" at the end of this page

Now you can type at your device
