Why does desk jet 2855e always cut off part of the picture I want to print? I tried to upgrade soft ware and check for driver updates.  So far nothing has worked.

Welcome to the HP Community --

The DeskJet printer series includes an important limitation --

The lower (bottom) margin can be no smaller than 12.7mm  or 1/2 inch

Unfortunately,

The issue cannot be fixed with settings or software -- the limitation is mechanical.

Reminder

At this writing, DeskJet printers (including this one) require a larger margin along the bottom edge --

12.7mm (1/2 inch)

Borderless Printing

No

Print Margin Bottom (A4)	12.7 mm
Print Margin Left (A4)	3 mm
Print Margin Right (A4)	3 mm
Print Margin Top (A4)	3 mm

There is no software, firmware, or alignment that changes the larger margin requirement.

The solution is to keep all data inside of 1/2 inch on the bottom edge.  This includes all page numbers, footer information, or other notations.
