Why is upgrading HP laser 179fnw firmware such an issue

First of all , let me say that this HP Laser 179fnw purchase makes me wonder if I bought a troubled HP failure.

Why does it not allow me to login in the EWS? admin and PIN do not work... read to many issue on HP fora, so I got worried! I want to upgrade to the newest firmware to loose these issues (in the hope it will fix things!)

Anybody having succeeded in renewing the firmware, Yes? Which steps did you follow, I surely appreciate a working solution?

The firmware is an .exe you need to download it and run it and follow the onscreen instructions

• When using a Network or USB connection, the HP print driver software must be installed prior to using this utility.
• The HP printer must be on and in a READY state as shown by the LCD display on the control panel and remain powered on during the entire firmware update process.
• Depending on the processor speed of your PC, the firmware update process may complete on the printer before the update status progress bar in the flash firmware update utility on the PC screen completes, this is normal.
• Once the update process has started, do not use your PC for any other activity until the process is complete.
• Inform others connected to the product, both network and USB, to refrain from using the printer during the update period.
• Do not power cycle the product or the PC until the firmware update process is complete.

There is only the usblist2.exe which when run on a network connected printer shows up temporarily and vanishes... there are the files swupgrade_on.prn and MFP170series_V3.82.01.23.hd.

I guess that the .hd file is needed when using EWS fw upgrade method, but the EWS does not allow me to login ~%!^#$#@$#@~%@!%#$~#@

If you want to use  usblist2.exe then device must be connected with USB
