Running Windows 10 on an HP Envy 700 Tower pc. My HP officejet 6500 is hooked up directly via usb cable. Ever since the Windows 10 update in February 2019, Windows 10 keeps showing my printer as offline. I have to reinstall the entire HP software (OJ_AIO_6500_E709_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5) to get the printer working.
Today, Windows doesn't see the printer again. I deleted my printer from Windows, deleted all HP software, rebooted pc, power cycled printer, and then reinstalled the OJ_AIO_6500_E709_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5 software. Windows 10 still won't see the printer.
It's the not the USB cable, it's not the USB port, it's not the printer. It's something in Windows 10 that got updated. Please tell me how to resolve this.
Thank you.
