Word can't print due to a problem with Printer settings

Right.

 

There are a whole list of things that can cause printer setting problems.

 

Word is susceptible to most of these, of course, since it uses and depends on the Full Driver printer software used with your printer.

Word (unknown version)

Windows 10 (some version)

 

Not known:

Printer model

Printer software installed or not?

Paper size / type / duplex (or not) / Scale issues / incompatible setting combinations in Word or in File > Print > Printer Properties
