Hi @PPauly,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
To deactivate automatic firmware updates on your HP OfficeJet 8015e using Windows 10 (64-bit), follow the steps below:
Method 1: Using the HP Smart App
- Open HP Smart on your computer.
- Select your OfficeJet 8015e printer.
- Go to Advanced Settings (this will open the printer's Embedded Web Server in a browser).
- Click on the Settings or Printer Updates tab.
- Choose Firmware Updates or Web Services.
- Look for an option like “Automatically check for updates” or “Install firmware updates automatically” and toggle it OFF.
- Save or apply the changes.
Method 2: Using the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
- Find your printer’s IP address:
- On the printer control panel, go to Settings > Network Settings > View Network Details or print a Network Configuration Page.
- Open a web browser on your PC and type the printer’s IP address in the address bar (e.g., http://192.168.1.100).
- In the EWS interface, go to:
- Settings > Printer Updates or Tools > Printer Update Options.
- Disable automatic updates.
- Click Apply.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
