Yes, this series of printers supports USB and wireless connectivity. You may check the same using this page.

To know how to connect the printer using a USB cable, refer to this document. 

 

If you have an anti-virus program installed on the MAC, disable the same until the installation is complete.

The use of a USB hub is not recommended. Also, make sure the cable is connected to a USB 2.0 port on your MAC.
