printer has stopped printing envelopes

I am sorry to hear that your HP DeskJet 2852 has stopped printing envelopes, I would request you to please follow the steps:

 

Check Envelope Orientation and Loading:

  • Ensure that the envelopes are loaded correctly in the input tray with the side to be printed facing down and the flaps to the left, as per usual guidelines.
  • Make sure the envelope edges are aligned before inserting them into the tray.
  • Avoid using envelopes with clasps, windows, thick or irregular edges, or those that are wrinkled or damaged.

Verify Printer Settings:

  • Go to the print settings in your software application.
  • Select the correct printer from the list.
  • In the print setup dialogue, choose the correct paper size for envelopes.
  • Ensure that the paper type is set to "Envelope".
  • Confirm that the paper source is set to "Manual feed" if using a manual feed option.

Ensure Tray Capacity is Not Exceeded:

  • Make sure that the tray is not overloaded. 
  • Check that you haven't exceeded the input tray capacity (usually around 20 envelopes for HP printers).

Check for Printer Errors:

  • Look at the printer control panel for any error messages or blinking lights, and resolve any indicated issues.

Printer Software and Driver:

  • Ensure your printer drivers and associated software are updated to the latest versions.
