macOS Big Sur and HP OfficeJet 150 - Drivers needed!
03-08-2021 05:17 AM

Hello to all the folks at HP! Hey guys, when will you update the drivers to macOS Big Sur 11.0 for my beloved HP OfficeJet 150? Those for macOS Catalina 10.15, still present on your site for download, are practically unusable!!
Have a nice day,
Matteo Piemontese from Italy

Hi @shines75,
I'd like to help!
HP Officejet 150 Mobile All-in-One Printer - L511a driver for macOS 11 is not available from the HP website or Apple Software Update. However, Gutenprint (formerly called Gimp-Print) provides open-source basic print drivers for many printers that would otherwise not be supported in Mac OS X. To see if your printer is supported, go to Gutenprint drivers for more information.
NOTE: Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Ah! I’d add also that by now, with the latest supplied drivers of HP for my printer and my type of OS, (version for macOS Catalina 10.15, release date 12/11/2020), the printer prints only via Bluetooth very badly, (at times), even if, for scanning via USB, there’s no problem.
Best regards

The printer does not support airprint.
I'd recommend you reach the phone support team for upgrade options.
Follow the instructions below to reach them:
1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences.
6)Fill the web-form and proceed further.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Hope this helps!

Yes, I've written a silliness: forget about airprint...the problem is that I absolutely need HP releases the updated drivers for Big Sur for my printer. That's all. And I think there's no best solution. So, please begin working on them!!!
Best Regards
