Hi @Chino50,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Since you've moved and are unable to connect your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28-M31 to the internet and your MacBook Air or desktop, let's go step by step.

Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

First, ensure that your printer is connected to the new Wi-Fi network.

On the Printer:

  • If the printer has a display, navigate to the Wireless Settings or Network Setup.
  • Choose Wi-Fi Setup Wizard to scan for networks.
  • Select your new network and enter the Wi-Fi password.
  • Download the HP Smart App from the App Store on your Mac or iPhone if not already installed.
  • Open the app and choose Add Printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect the printer to your new Wi-Fi.

Reconnect the Printer to Your MacBook Air

If you've reconnected the printer to Wi-Fi, follow these steps:

  • On Your MacBook Air:
    • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
    • Remove the old instance of the printer if necessary.
    • Click the + button to add a new printer.
    • Your printer should appear in the list if it’s on the same network.
    • Select it, then follow the prompts to install the necessary drivers.

Reconfigure the Printer on Your Desktop

Repeat the process of adding the printer to your desktop:

  • On Your Desktop:
    • Open the Control Panel (Windows) or System Preferences (Mac).
    • Go to Devices and Printers or Printers & Scanners.
    • Click Add Printer and select your printer from the list.

Test Print

Once connected to both devices, print a test page from each to confirm everything is functioning.

If you still have trouble, resetting your printer's network settings and starting the process again may help.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
