Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

After installing new ink cartridge, got messages saying that cartridge was either used or counterfeit. After that, when using my Mac, which had HP software installed, started getting messages on desktop that HP software would damage my Mac, so I trashed HP software that was named in messages. Now I can't print from my computer although there's still some HP software remaining.

Hi,

First of all, please click the Apple icon, then Software Update, and ensure any of the latest updates are installed for your Mac.

 

Next, download and follow HP Easy Start to uninstall any current software:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

 

  • Click HP Easy Start from the top menu, and then select Uninstall HP Software... from the menu.

  • Read any warnings that display, and then click Continue.
  • When prompted, type your administrator user name and password.
  • HP Uninstaller removes all HP printer software previously installed.
  • Finally, click Set Up New Device, and then follow the instructions to reinstall the printer software.
