@tombay, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e series!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e series printer is not printing from any application other than the HP Smart app, there may be several factors that need to be checked or configured correctly. Follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
1. Check Printer Status
- Make sure your printer is turned on and is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
2. Verify Printer Queue
- Clear any stuck print jobs in the printer queue:
- In Windows, search for and open "Printers & scanners."
- Select your printer from the list and click "Open queue."
- Cancel all print jobs in the queue.
3. Ensure Correct Driver Installation
- Verify that the correct printer driver for the HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e series is installed:
- Open "Printers & scanners" and select your HP printer.
- Click "Manage" and then "Printer properties."
- Under the "Advanced" tab, ensure that the correct HP printer driver is selected.
4. Set as Default Printer
- Ensure that your HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e series is set as the default printer:
- In "Printers & scanners," select your printer and click "Manage."
- Click "Set as default."
5. Check Printer Connectivity
- Confirm the printer is connected to the network and the computer:
- Navigate to the printer's control panel and go to the "Network" or "Wi-Fi" settings to ensure it is connected.
6. Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Uninstall the existing printer drivers and reinstall the HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e series drivers:
- Go to "Control Panel" > "Programs" > "Uninstall a program" and uninstall any HP printer drivers.
- Download and install the latest drivers from the HP official website.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
