It sounds like you have a printer that is subscribed to Instant Ink.

We cannot help directly - the account data is private.

If this is the printer:

HP DeskJet 4152e All-in-One Printer

(Then) there are additional considerations.

First, IF the original owner switched on the HP+ service, there are benefits to having done so, but also restrictions in place.

The most important of these restrictions is that the printer must have an Internet connection to allow the HP+ service to monitor the printer AND you must use only HP genuine ink cartridges.

Best case:

HP+ was not enabled.

Installing a new set of HP cartridges will let you print.

Remove the "Instant Ink" cartridges from the printer - purchase a new set of HP cartridges and install them.

All of this could all be easy to fix - could be a mess.

I will forward your concern for Review by the moderator team.
