Product: HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g

Having a problem printing from macOS 13 Ventura, downloaded the hp13 driver for the printer. The computer shows the presence of the printer but when asked to print the print dialogue box says "waiting for printer to become available" and stays in that mode. The scan function does work. Is there a compatibility problem with Ventura.
