HP OFFICEJET 5230
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I have problems with my HP OFFICEJET 5230 printer

Could you help me, please?

1. does not print black well, although the ink level is more than sufficient. I have already tried all the normal head cleaning procedures etc.

2. I can't download the updates, the problem that signals me is the one you see also in the attached photo, it seems to be a problem with the network, despite the signal is excellent

3. if i'm enrolled in the instant ink program, can I still use normal cartridges?

4. How is it possible that the printer starts to give me problems right after the warranty expires?

Thanks for your attention

Hi @ELI157

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the Instant Ink issue.

Try rebooting the devices -

1) Turn off the Router, Printer, and the computer/ mobile devices.
2) Wait for 60 seconds.
3) Turn on the Router first and wait for all the lights to stabilize.
4) Turn on the printer and allow it to configure itself.
5) Turn on the computer/ mobile devices.

and then download and install the firmware for Win 10 (64-bit) from this link.

Yes, you may install the regular ink cartridges while the printer is enrolled in the Instant Ink plan. But the account would not be able to read the inks levels to send you inks when low.

Please send us a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
