The printer is connected through wi-fi and plugged into USB port.

@Glo85, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

What is the issue with the printer?

Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if the printer hardware is working fine.

If the printer is connected via Wi-Fi, you do not have to use the USB cable.
