Hi @0ldphuc69-

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP 8710 All-in-One printer recognizes your T-Mobile router but won't connect, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Check Wi-Fi Settings on Printer

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Go to the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless settings, and verify the network name (SSID).

2. Reconnect the Printer

  • Forget the Network: On the printer, go to the Wi-Fi settings, select your network, and choose the option to forget or disconnect from it. Then reconnect by entering the Wi-Fi password.
  • Use WPS: If your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), you can try connecting the printer using this method. Press the WPS button on your router and then select the WPS option on your printer.

3. Check Router Settings

  • SSID Broadcast: Make sure the SSID broadcast is enabled on your T-Mobile router, as some printers require this to find the network.
  • Network Security: Ensure that the router's security settings (WPA2 or WPA3) are compatible with your printer. Sometimes, older devices may struggle with newer security protocols.

4. Update Printer Firmware

  • Check for any firmware updates for your printer. You can do this through the HP Smart app or the printer's web interface. Keeping the firmware updated can resolve connectivity issues.

5. Reset Network Settings

  • If you're still having trouble, consider resetting the network settings on the printer. This will clear any saved networks and allow you to start fresh.

6. Check for IP Conflicts

  • Ensure that there are no IP address conflicts on your network. You can log into the router’s admin panel to see connected devices and their IP addresses.

7. Temporarily Disable Firewall/Security Features

  • Sometimes, router security settings can block devices from connecting. Try temporarily disabling any firewall or security features on the T-Mobile router to see if that allows the printer to connect.

8. Try Direct USB Connection

  • If you need to print urgently, consider connecting the printer directly to your computer using a USB cable to print while troubleshooting the Wi-Fi connection.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
