I am unable to print from my chromebook to my laserjet printer. My laptop says I am connected to the printer but when I attempt to print my laptop says I cannot print because I am not connected. I get the same result whether wirelessly printing or plugging directly into

Hope you are well,  for chrome OS systems its suggested to use network connection between printer and laptop, as some of the laptops dont have USB 2.0 ports. So if the printer is connected to network with an ethernet cable, the printer will get an IP address. 

Please get the IP address from the printer, you can go to setup > reports >  configuration report , printer will print the report and the IPV4 address is the required number.

On the laptop, please open a web browser and type in the IP address and then hit enter, you may see a printer web page with the status of the device. if so, please open a new google chrome tab and please install the following app from the google webstore, HP printer for chrome, its for free.
