Hi @Ashishd93,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Printer Compatibility
Ensure that your HP LaserJet P1007 printer is compatible with macOS. Since older printer models may lack updated drivers for newer versions of macOS, it's important to verify compatibility.
Download and Install Latest Driver
Unfortunately, the specific driver for the HP LaserJet P1007 printer may not be available for macOS 15.4.1. You can check for any potential drivers or updates on the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. If drivers for macOS are not listed for your printer, you might consider using generic print drivers or third-party solutions such as Gutenprint.
Step 3: Use the Printer through USB Connection
Ensure that your printer is connected properly to your MacBook through a USB cable. Sometimes network printing can cause issues, and direct USB connection might resolve it.
Install Printer Using Generic Driver
You can attempt to install your printer using a generic printer driver:
- Open System Preferences on your Mac.
- Click on Printers & Scanners.
- Click the + button to add a printer.
- Choose your HP LaserJet P1007 from the list of available printers.
- Select Generic PostScript Printer or Generic PCL Printer from the dropdown list for the driver.
Check for macOS Updates
Ensure your macOS is up-to-date, as Apple periodically releases updates that improve compatibility with hardware such as printers.
Use Alternative Printing Methods
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you might consider using alternative methods such as Google Cloud Print (if supported by your printer) or converting documents to PDF and printing from another device.
I hope this helps.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
