Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdn goes to sleep when it hasn't been used for several hours. How can I wake it without having to power it down and back on. I've never had an HP printer that doesn't wake when one submits a print job.

Most of the new machines have very aggressive power settings out of the box including a complete shutoff after  hours. You need to go into the power settings and adjust them.

Unfortunately, it will take time before I can determine if this is the solution. Is there a way I can confirm tomorrow?

This suggestion has not cured the problem. I can change the shutdown mode to 8 hours max. If I change the Disable Shutdown to "When Ports are Active" it still goes to asleep and print jobs will not wake it. If I change the Disable Shutdown to "Do not Disable" the printer shuts down and obviously cannot be wakened. There is no option, I can find, the keeps the printer from becoming disabled.

I had figured out how to configure the setting for Power Management. My previous post explains. I do appreciate having the manual though. I cannot get the printer to wake after it enters sleep mode. I think I will go ahead and let the printer shut itself down. I should be able to power up the printer, each day when I start working. If I do it this way, at least I won't have to power the printer down and then back on. The only problem with that is my wife is disabled and will not be able to print until I turn the printer on for her. That's pretty crummy!
