Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 All-in-One Printer

why can't I download the printer driver to my laptop without having my printer present? I have been trying for hours and HP webpage lets me only download the HP SMART INSTALLER  but requires my printer to be present to finish the install. I tried downloading HP EasyStart 16 _7_5 and same issue that it is requiring my printer be present. I just need the driver to be downloaded and installed on to my laptop. What else can i do??

Hi @Jenn9876543,

When you install driver there is some very specific configurations that needs to be done for scanner and also for printer, like network ip address, that is why you need to have the printer right there.

 

But if you don´t wanna do that process, then you can install with the Windows drivers, following steps from the next video:
