2018 Win 10 Officejet 6500 E710n-Z - Print and Scan Doctor immediately fails to download

Follow up - I found an alternative link to the software and it downloaded and ran perfectly.  Issue closed and needs to replies.

Hello,

 

My equipment and their configuration is as follows:

 

Laptop is Pavilion dv7-6b32US

16 GB RAM

C: Drive is 500 GB with lots of room

Secondary/Slave drive is 1TB divided into two equal partitions both with pleanty of room

One of the secondary/slave drives is connected to my Google Drive and the other is connected to my DropBox

Windows 10 64 Bit kept up to date at all times

 

I keep trying to download the Print and Scan Doctor software and the download immediately fails with no error code provided - only "failed to download".

 

Just to reminded readers - this is a new question being posted in March 2018 so the other entries with the same problem are all archived because they are years old.

 

Any assistance is appreciated as both items are way out of warranty but still humming away perfectly

Hi,

 

THe Print Scan doctor can be downloaded from the below link...

 

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-8720-all-in-one-printer-series/7902032/documen...

 

Once you access this link, you would see Step 1) Download and Install PSDR. there you have the download option. you may download this from there.


Also make sure the printer is installed on the PC.
