Envy 7640 All in One
macOS 10.14 Mojave

After installing Mojave my iMac computer could not find my printer.  I deleted it thinking I would just reinstall. Now when I go to Add Printer, it does not appear and it won't allow me to type it in.  It also says the Mojave O/S isn't compatible but I've seen other posts saying it does.  I printed the Wireless Network Test Results and it is connected.  All my other devices (iPhone, iPad, MacBook)  can print to it, not my iMac.  I now have to resort to emailing myself and printing from another device.

**UPDATE - I somehow managed to add the printer and it shows up in the Preferences in Printers & Scanners.  But, my computer still can't find it.  It shows the blue line showing that it is printing - but nothing happens.

A warm welcome to HP Support Community!

HP ENVY 7640 printer is compatible with macOS 10.14 Mojave. Performing a network power cycle and then setting up the printer with Apple AirPrint may resolve the issue. Here is how to do it:

Please ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with it's software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:

Update printer firmware

Update software on Mac

1.) Turn off your Mac, Printer and Router.

2.) Unplug the power from the back of router, wait for 10 -15 seconds.

3.) Connect the power cable back to router, turn on the router first. Wait till the router to initialize.

4.) Turn on Printer and Mac.

5.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
6.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.

7.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button  at the bottom of the list.

8.) Click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.

9.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint or Secure AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.

Select AirPrint from the Use menu

10.) Try to print.

Let me know how it goes!

Have tried ALL the solutions to get my HP printer to work after the Mojave update with no help! Any suggestions besides buying a new printer? Sounds like there is a bug in the new update and Apple should step up and do a FIX !!!
