Hello, 

 

I just got a new printer and i would like to scan some things.  I tried to download the HP Smart App on my windows laptop, but when I go to the HP Smart and click "Download" this grey box shows up and it never downloads... 

 

Any ideas?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

Check for windows updates on the PC and try downloading the Hp Smart application from here.

 

If the issue persists, click here to download the HP Scan extended.

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Try scanning.
