ENVY 7134
macOS 10.15 Catalina

After the most recent firmware update my HP Envy Photo 7134 printer no longer responds to the native HP apps.

I managed to get the mac to print to the printer only by resetting the print system and setting up the printer (via bonjour) to use secure AirPrint. I can scan only by using the scan to email function from the printers control panel.

If i try and use either HP Smart or HP Easy Setup apps (scan or utility) they can see the printer initially (via bonjour) but then cannot get info from them or proceed to setup.

Also EWS does not work properly. When I enter the printers IP address into a browser, the page takes ages to render (4-5 mins) and then any of the dynamic sections have amber exclamation icons and cannot load.

I have tried: deleting the hp software on the mac, rebuilding the mac with fresh install of OS, resetting the wifi router to factory settings (inc splitting the wifi SSID's), resetting the printer to factory settings. Nothing is working. Which is why i'm thinking the firmware update has corrupted something in the printer.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I have determined that I set HTTPS Enforcement to on and now I cannot access either via the HP easy apps or EWS.

Easy Setup log shows:

un 12 00:23:54 HP Easy Start[1848] <Error>: [LKLEDMAccessOperation] - request completed with error: NSURLErrorDomain:-1001

can someone form HP PM me with the instructions to reset this (ive tried the factory reset from the control panel and it makes no difference)

Many Thanks

@BobbyBox, Welcome to HP Support Community!

The only option left is to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps!
