You are a valued HP customer and we appreciate you greatly for doing business with HP. I have reviewed the situation and it is paramount that we address your issue. Thank you for giving us the privilege to assist you on this platform.

It certainly looks like a hardware issue with the computer.

For better clarity and to assist you better, I would require more information regarding this.

  • Did this happen after a power outage?
  • Did any changes happen to the network relating to the router?
  • What is the operating system that is being used?

Please try these steps:

Restart the computer, printer, and router to resolve any error states present during the printer setup.

Note:

The following steps temporarily disconnect network and Internet connections and require restarting your computer. Complete any tasks or downloads in progress before continuing.

  1. Disconnect the power cord from the router.
  2. Turn off the printer.
  3. Close all running programs on your computer, including the HP software installation window, then shut down the computer.
  4. Reconnect the power cord to the router, then wait for the Internet activity light to display a normal connected status.
  5. Turn on the printer.
  6. Turn on the computer.

Then check again. If this does not work,

Please check user the user guide link: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03227497  to optimize power option. Refer chapter 1 page 10 for the steps.
