Hello,
I need to disable the HP Smart Install feature on the HP Laser Jet pro 200 M252DW printer.

This is very important because the printer has to work with an unusual device that is not a computer with an operating system. By the way, it is a SHIMADZU spectrophotometer.

The spectrophotometer can print on any USB printer that natively supports PLC5, but when the HP Smart install function is enabled, the device detects mass storage instead of the printer.

In older HP printers the problem could be solved by disabling the HP Smart Install feature.

I am asking for help in solving this problem.

Using Google, I found the "HP ColorLaserJet Pro M252 Troubleshooting Manual" in which the page 107 describes the entry in the printer menu which is responsible for the hp smart install.

Unfortunately, none of our printers have this option in the service menu or in the hidden 2ndary Service menu.

It also does not help to turn off the functions in System Setup-> Administration -> USB Flash Drive.

 

The printer's firmware is current, I also tried with the archives (2015)

 

I have also not found SiUtility.exe for this printer. which is recommended for other printers.

 

Please help...
