Sadly that is one of the first things I did.
- I had uninstalled the printer.
- Deleted all drivers related to the printer
- Refreshed my computer.
- Ran scandisk (just to double check)
- I even ran a system restore to factory settings and re-installed all devices. (Of course, I made sure all my personal files were placed on cloud drives)
I'm simply SOL.
Thank you, HP for such a fine up-to-date product! (Heavy sarcasm)

No.... I'm not much of a club person - I didn't learn that secret handshake.
My husband's 'porn laptop' which never gets updated is able to print so I cross my fingers and e-mail my documents to myself to open on his machine (and hope no viruses are running amok).
It's a workaround of sorts.

Mine is still not working!
My only options from HP are
1) rollback Windows to an earlier version (not doing this)
2) use my husbands 'porn computer' to print.
3) buy a new printer (not doing this)
4) pay for Windows Professional (not doing this)
Printing via the porn computer wins!

I finally have a solution! (Which worked for me.)
I can't believe it took me so long to think of this... I used the original installation CD!
Before updating to the Fall Creator's Update, I uninstalled everything to do with HP printer software. After months trying to follow all the "go into Windows settings and change this and this".. worked for a while but then stopped... I went on a hunt and got the CD that came with the printer.
I've uploaded the software to OneDrive, the link is below. After opening the file, scroll down to Setup, it has an "hp" icon. It gives you an option to download the software or usethe CD. I used the load from CD option.
My printer is working perfectly! Again, I can't believe I didn't think of this before tonight. If you haven't got your original installation CD, I've shared it from OneDrive so help yourself.
I hope this helps you and everyone who's had this (annoying/frustrating/expletive deleted) problem and that your husband can have his porn laptop back!
Robin
