Hi @mgland1722,

I understand you are seeing  Firmware Corrupt Ready 2 Download error message on your HP LaserJet printer. I'll be really glad to help you with this,

Please make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.

Perform a Hard reset on the printer.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Remove USB cable, if present.

Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

If your printer connected wirelessly, make sure to temporary connect the device with USB and then follow the link to check for the latest firmware update if available for your printer, using this website

If the issue persists, I would suggest you could try to perform an advanced reset on the printer. I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

Let me know how that goes. Good luck!
Cheers 🙂

Thank you for the reply.  Fist I would like to mention is that this is a Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw.  Does this procedure apply as well?

The reset you described in the private notification was done and resolved it for a short while but returned in the morning and I was not able to do that reset Until I disconnected the printer from my network and attached it to a laptop via the USB port.  I have since reinstalled the firmware via the USB and all is working now, but not sure for how long.

No luck with mine. HP Supprt said it was a hardware issue and to return it. Still waiting on return paperwork. Said that would take 5-7 days? Have not received it yet. Seems like a long wait for something that will be emailed.
