Firmware FutureSmart for M652 Laserjet cannot be open on Mac with Mac OS 10.14. I doanlaoded the file. IOt has a .bdl format Mac OS does not recognize. Ik neded this to install and use the JD2900nw Print server.
The .bdl file is actually the firmware file that needs to be sent to the printer.
Teh included read me file offers several options for getting the firmware to the printer. From the macOS, the easiest way is to use the embedded web server in the printer.
1. Open your web browser of choice
2. Enter the IP Address (ex. 192.168.1.10) of the printer into the filed where you would enter a web site like google.com.
3. Select Troubleshooting on the top tabs and then Firmware Update on the left.
4. At the bottom of that window is a Choose File button. Select that and then select the .bdl file. Then select Install.
I do not have a 652 in front of me, but there should be a network icon on the front panel that you can touch to get that info.
If not, you can printa configuration page from the front panel. The config page s usually under Administration-->Reports-->Configuration/Status-->Configuration Page
