Deskjet 3762

Good evening,
my hp deskjet 3762 just arrived.
The first thing I did was change the administrator password on the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
Now EWS is locked with a password and I can no longer log in because it does not recognize the new password set.
I have not found any way to reset the factory settings.
How is this possible?
Thanks.

Welcome to HP support community.

Perform network restore to reset the EWS password:

Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.

I hope that helps.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.

Hallo,
unfortunately this procedure resets the network settings but NOT the admin password of the EWS server !!!

it looks like an old problem.
I'm not the only one who has it and it seems that nobody knows how to solve it.
this is an example:

@Steber63

This might require one on one interaction to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

I hope that helps.

Cheers.
