HP Deskjet 3520 all in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The window device manager recognizes the printer as working properly.  The discdoctor does not see it. I can not install the printer software because of error 193.

Thank you for joining HP Forums.

I'll be glad to help you 🙂

As I understand the HP Deskjet 3520 can't communicate with your computer due to the Error 193,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

Are you using the disc or the HP website to download the full feature software?

Is this the first time you are attempting to install it or have you done this before?

While you respond to that, here's a few steps to try if you have been using the disc:

Step 1: Change the AutoPlay settings in Windows

To start the installation process as soon as the software disc is inserted, make sure AutoPlay is enabled.

Step 2: Run the Setup file from the disc

If the disc does not start automatically, open the disc contents from File Explorer, and then open the Setup file.
