Hi @Daber4,

Good Day. Thanks for posting your query in the HP community. I read the post regarding the printer not connecting to the wireless network. It will be a pleasure to assist you here.

Commendable diagnosis and splendid description of the issue before posting. Hats off you on that score. 🙂

  • Has it connected before? If it has, did any windows update or software update cause this to happen?
  • Have you bypassed power strips and connected the printer directly to the wall outlet?

Please try  all the prescribed steps from this document for printer being offline

Step 1: Use HP Print and Scan Doctor to check connectivity

Step 2: Set the default printer and unpause printing

Step 3: Reset the printer and check the connection status

Step 4: Make sure the correct port is selected

Step 5: Update the printer firmware

Step 6: Create a manual connection (network connections only)

Step 7: Add a second printer device to Windows (network connections only)

Step 8: Add the printer using HP Printer Assistant

Step 9: Other things to try

  • Disable IPv6 (network connections only)
  • Move the wireless printer closer to the router
  • Try connecting the printer to another computer

Please try all the prescribed steps patiently as it is very important. It should fix the issue for you if there is no hardware issue with the printer.

Also please perform all the required steps from this article for setting up the printer on the wireless network. This should resolve the issue for you. It is really important to try these steps patiently.

This is a useful link to setup the printer on the wireless network. Look up the section under windows.

Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great.

To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

Take care now and have a splendid week ahead.

Hi

I did it with HP Print and Scan Doctor.

The software on the CD was missing.

Thank you.
