HP Officejet 4630 has "ERROR CODE 0X83C0000A NOS LOADER APP".  Is there a way to reset the printer?

Hard Reset

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates.

If the issue persists, let us try a full reset on the printer.

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Thanks for your response.  Unfortunately, this didn't resolve the issue.  The keypad is unresponsive and the printer will not move past the error message.  My guess is this printer has reached the end of its life.  Again, thanks for your help.
