HP Officejet Pro8600 Plus - Mac Catalina - Easy Start won't install drivers

I am trying to install drivers for my printer and so downloaded easy start from the HP support site. The program runs but gets so far and then won't install the drivers for either the printer or the scanner. I get the following problem. Going back and reinstalling does not help. Can anyone help?

Hi,

Please try installing below drivers:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-printer-esse...

Once completing the installation, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners and click the plus sign.

Select your printer, within the Use drop-down menu select your printer model and click Add.

Now try printing and verify it works, as well you may scan using the Image Capture app within your Applications folder.

Thank you ShlomiL, this was the solution that also worked for me!. No idea why these correct drivers are not present on the HP printer page...

After installing Catalina, I now have to manually select the printer in order to print and then manually select the WiFi router for internet access.. printer used to  automatically switch when I selected Print. Is there a work around or some new software?  thx
