Pavilion 27 a037c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am having trouble using a HP officejet pro 8710, I have been using it for months and just the other day it stopped working. I have three PCs sharing the printer, two of them are connected through the network and work fine. The one on the Pavilioin is the only one that stopped working. I tried HP Print Doctor and it says there is not driver installed...I go through the steps to install the drivers and it errors out. I tried to google the error message but all the info I get back says it is for Windows 7.
Error: 18.68.0.4833  0x80070002

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the print drivers...no luck.

@Radzinb

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand the HP Pavilion will not allow you to load drivers for your HP Printer,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Did you reinstall the drivers using the HP website or the printer disc?

While you respond to that, you could install the drivers using this HP website: Click here

If the issue persists, install the windows built-in drivers: Click here to know how.

Keep me posted for further assistance 😉

I tried to load the driver via the disc, the HP website and HP Print Doctor...it would load the driver but not install it on the PC. After many attempts, I contacted HP and spent the better part of 4 hours being bumped from person to person until we found out there is a Windows10 issue with drivers. Had to download a patch for drivers...Then unistall all printers and drivers, scanners etc...and reload the driver...Still unable to hook up with a USB port, had to do it through a ethernet, network system. Not sure why, but it works so we stopped messing with it.

Thanks!

@Radzinb

Thank you for responding,

It's great to have you back 😉

I'm glad you found the solution you were looking for.

Thanks for taking the time to let the community know about the solution, however, if you stopped because it works with the wired network and yet doesn't work with the wireless network that isn't satisfying, please let me know so that we may work on other steps to help provide a complete fix,

That said, You've been great to work with and it has been a genuine pleasure interacting with you.

I hope both you and your product works great and remain healthy for a long time 😉

Take care now and do have a fabulous week ahead. 🙂
