hp Photosmart C310
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I tried to install a generic cartridge.  A message came up saying I had a Ink Cartridge Problem. It also said the cartridge was missing or damaged.  I then installed a HP ink cartridge. It gave me the same message.  I cannot get that message off the screen and I cannot use the printer because of this.  It also says refer to Printer Documentation. But I have not been able to find was the computer says the problem is.
