Every time I have a Microsoft update my printer connection quits! I've tried every step HP recommends. It's out of warranty so I can't speak with a live person. Before I chuck this printer I need some help. It's so maddening when you've only had a printer a couple years and it goes out. I spent a lot of money and it is frustrating!!!

Welcome to the HP support community.

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • Restart the PC again.

Download and install printer full feature driver

I hope that helps.

I've done this! I just located printer and it does not recognize it. See screen shots. I'm so frustrated. Hours on this and for the money I paid it's not fair! Before I spend another $500.00 on a printer I wanted to try. I've tried and it's not working. I won't be purchasing HP that is for sure!

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Sandy, I've had someone communicating with me but there recommendations is not working. My printer is still not working. I've downloaded drivers, uninstalled at least 1/2 dozen times.

Once I uninstalled one of the updates the other day is when it printed but the following day it stopped again. I know it has to do with upates. For paying so much for a printer that we have to accept the updates , we have not choice it's frustrating. EVERY-TIME THERE IS AN UPDATE I HAVE ISSUES.

The person you referred me to sends me a link to download another driver. NOT WORKING! Driver.png
