Dear Experts:

 

I would be most grateful for assistance in diagnosing why the 8600 printer does not recognize my WPA2 password. Up until a recent power outage, everything was working fine. Now I am unable to print documents from my computer. I have spent a considerable time trying to understand the problem so I hope you can help me.

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums. 

MKazi is at your service. 

 

I understand that after a recent power outage, the printer does not print document and 

 

You might be able to find the wireless network password from a computer that is connected to the wireless network. To view the network password on a Mac, open the Keychain Access application.

  1. In the Finder menu, click Go, and then click Utilities.

  2. Open the Keychain Access application.

  3. In the Keychains list, click Local Items.

  4. In the Category list, click Passwords.

  5. Double-click the wireless network name, then select the Show password check box.

  6. If prompted, type your administrator password, and then click OK.

If the issue persists, then you may continue with the following steps:

 

 

 

The above steps will make the printer join the network again and you should be able to print.
