Hi,
Readiris Pro 14 will be listed as this name under Start > IRIS > Readiris Pro 14..
If you open the printer software to scan you use the basic version integrated into the HP software.
Download and install Readiris Pro and than launch it and select "From File"..

Hi,
the HP Scan software allow scanning to OCR from an original, not to convert an existing file.
Assuming you have the HP full Feature Software installed you may install IRIS OCR Pro below:
The IRIS Pro application allow openning an existing document for OCR.

I have HP software full features per the original CD installed, with IRIS running to OCR from papers placed on the glass/feeder of the printer, no problems.
I am now interested in finding out that can/how I OCR those scanned/ saved as .jpg files aboard my PC?
PS. how to find out which edition I have, Pro or not?
