Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,
my printer/scanner ENVY 6234 can print with HP Smart (version 115.152.1.0) but cannot scan with this software.
An error message is displayed on my PC:  'Problem with scanner - please restart or contact HP support'.

I downloaded and ran 'Print and scan doc:tor' , some updates of my printer were done, the diag was ok.

The scanner works fine only when I use 'HP scan' software. 

 

I guess there is a problem with HP Smart, but not with the scanner. How to fix it ?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

If you are able to make a copy from the glass and able to scan using HP Scan software, it means the scanner hardware is working fine.

 

Have you tried reinstalling the HP Smart app?
