Hello:

 

I keep trying to download HP Support Assistant, as its icon etc. had disappeared from my computer.

 

I go to a page that says download 9.4/8.7 support assistant, start the download, and then get a message saying the install is cancelled as there is a newer version already on my HP Envy Notebook.

 

Problem is I can't find this "newer" version of HP Support Assistant on my computer.

 

Please help!  Many thanks.

I suggest you uninstall the HP Support Assistant using CCleaner. You can download the Free Trial CCleaner from this Link: https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download

  1. In CCleaner, click the Tools icon at left.
  2. In the Uninstall screen, select the name of the program you want to uninstall from the Programs to Remove list.

Note: CCleaner is a 3rd party software and HP is not reponsible for any Ads that might pop up

 

Restart the computer and download the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...
